The Life Sciences Division at TRIUMF is growing fast and is exploring the potential use of TRIUMF Facilities to produce medical radionuclides. The division has access to multiple cyclotrons to produce desired radionuclides, as well as world class radiochemistry facilities for further processing and radiolabeling and has active collaborations with national and international research centres on the design and testing of radiopharmaceuticals based on the TRUMF produced radionuclides. In support of this, we are currently accepting applications for a Postdoc to join our team and focus on the radiochemistry of therapeutic and imaging radionuclides. |
Qualifizierung: | Applicants must have a recent or imminent Ph.D. in nuclear medicine, ideally related to radiochemistry or another closely related discipline in radiopharmaceutical science, and experience working with radioactivity. While not required, applicants with experience with various analytical techniques (gamma and alpha spectroscopy, ICP-MS, TLC, HPLC, etc.), production, radiochemical separations for radiometals, and radiolabeling of biomolecules will be given preference. |

Zusätzliche Information: | The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in the production, radiochemical purification and radiolabeling of radionuclides. The successful applicant’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Providing research and technical support on production and radiochemical purification of medical radionuclides • Assisting in the radiochemical separation and radiolabeling of therapeutic and imaging radionuclides • Assisting with the preparation of grant proposals and scientific manuscripts • Assisting in the supervision of undergraduate and graduate students This position will be based at TRIUMF, and the term of employment will be based on an initial commitment of one year. This may be renewed for a second term, based on mutual satisfaction and continued funding. Salary will be competitive depending on experience. |
